Limerick’s cultural scene was significantly enhanced in March 2003 when the magnificent new 350-seat Millennium Theatre at Limerick Institute of Technology, Moylish Park opened. The LIT Millennium Theatre is an intimate and magnificent venue, the newest in the city and the only one on the North Side of Limerick. University Concert Hall was invited to provide the administration and management of the 350 seat Millennium Theatre on behalf of LIT. The venue now host to a variety of live entertainment, concerts, recitals, drama, comedy and dance.
University Concert Hall (UCH) is a 1,000 seat multi-purpose venue and the first purpose built concert hall in the country. Since its inception in September 1993, UCH has provided vast and varied entertainment for the entire Mid West Region as renowned International and National artists consistently choose to perform here. All forms of music - classical, rock, country and western, tribute, trad, jazz and blues - together with opera, drama, musicals, dance, ballet and some of the biggest names in comedy can all be enjoyed at University Concert Hall throughout the year. In 2006 UCH was delighted to welcome its 1 Millionth patron.
